The history starts in 1996 with the founding of Insignium by Shoggoth and Apollyon. The first output is a self-produced CD called "Insignia Risen..." which is released in May 1999. In April 2000 Insignium appears live on stage for the first time. In Fall 2004 Insignium signs with Black Attakk and releases the album "In die Abgründe" in February 2005. In early 2006 they go on a one-week-tour with Total Hate, Blodsrit and Elite through Germany, Poland and the Netherlands. With the new drummer, Ralle (DARTH), Insignium now concentrates on writing new songs for the next album - seven have been finished so far - and is also looking for a new label to release the successor to "In die Abgründe".
